Dreaming To Reality: Oneiromancy Chapter Thirty - 08
Daisuke paused at that before he let out a broken laugh. “Y-yeah, I guess. But it’ll be a long time before-”
In that moment, Zeed leaned forward and pressed the tip of his snout against Chibimon’s egg. He began to glow gold, which drifted from the Dorumon’s nose into the egg itself. The egg’s warmth intensified as it sat in Daisuke’s lap, growing so hot that it might have burned his skin if not for his pants protecting him.
Daisuke jerked his arms back in a squeak, startled by the heat. It was then that the egg began to crack. He only had a moment to realize what was happening before the egg burst open, revealing a blue slime Digimon with a floppy “horn” and beady black eyes. The Digimon blinked blurrily and stared at Zeed, who smirked down at him, before he quickly turned to face Daisuke.
“Daisukeeee!” the Digimon chirped. “I’m back! Already!”
“C-Chibimon!?” Daisuke blurted out.
“Chicomon,” Zeed corrected as he sat back down. He sounded out of breath, though he did his best to hide it with his usual air of confidence. “He will evolve to Chibimon once again, given enough time.” He quirked a sly grin. “But I assume this is good enough for the moment?”
“I was kinda awake but also kinda not, and really groggy, but then I felt super warm and strong and then bam!” Chicomon babbled out in a rush as he squirmed in place, the remnants of his egg dissolving. “I was awake and there you are, and I’m so happy!”
Tears welled up in Daisuke’s eyes as he pulled Chicomon close. “Th-thank you, Lord Zeed! Thank you! God… I’m so glad you’re back, Chicomon… so glad…”
“I’m so glad I’m back and you’re okay, too!” Chicomon said as he did his best to return the hug despite having no limbs to speak off.
Mimi started sobbing again, in spite of herself, and she tried in vain to wipe away the tears that just kept coming, but from joy instead of pain this time. “T-that’s great, that’s so great, Daisuke!”
“But of course,” Zeed said. “I am nothing if not benevolent.” He didn’t feel a particular need to vocalize how uncomfortable seeing the miserable boy made him. It bothered him on a deep level that he didn’t fully understand, and he hated not fully understanding anything. It was best to resolve the situation immediately rather than let it linger on, and pass it off as a favor to the boy born from his own benevolence and nothing else.
His benevolence was truly astounding.

I was wondering if u still do digimon headcannon, If so I wondering if have any for chibimon
Aww, Chibimon! What a nice ask!
(I have a series of digimon headcanons, check them out here! This post is for Gomamon, the rest are linked at the bottom of the post. I did them a few years ago.)
I don't know that I have much in reserve for Chibimon, but one thing really springs to mind... I was reading a digimon fanfic literally like... God, probably like 8+ years ago, it said something like: Daisuke loved soccer, V-mon, and pizza, and his biggest worry was that he couldn't enjoy all three at once. And to me, that's... That's it, that's Chibimon/V-mon. Friends, food, fun. So simple, so pure. And when I say simple, I don't mean "stupid" or "plain." What I mean is that he's got things figured out.
What is that Tolkien quote? “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” Chibimon has that down, you know? Daisuke, too. I think having someone like that around would be so wonderful and enriching.
I'm sorry that's all I've got, I hope you enjoyed it <3 Thanks for the ask! PS: I wish I remember who wrote this wonderful tidbit I paraphrased, my gut guess is @fizzingwizard, but if I'm wrong/you would rather not be mentioned, please tell me and I'll remove it :D

Brave Shine Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Sooooo, @soofireanon and I have been talking lately, and she kinda inspired me to do a little angst writing for Daiken. Cuz we’re both awful people and love making our babies suffer.
Summary: Perhaps he could have been a little less abrupt about the whole thing...but in his defense, he hadn’t really expected the whole thing to blow up in his face. Quite literally.
Characters: Daisuke, Ken, Taichi, Yamato, Hikari, Jun
Pairing: Daiken
“I’m in love with you!”
The words, yelled over the dulled roar of the small crowd, were met with a sudden tense silence, conversations trailing off as wide eyes flicked over to the speaker in shock. Daisuke stood opposite Ken, his hands balled into fists at his sides, cheeks flushed a vivid red. But his eyes were shining, their bright gold practically glowing with anticipation. As the silence wore on, that hope began to dim, the embarrassed smile fading slowly from Daisuke’s face. Ken could only stare at Daisuke, his face blanched to a stark white. A wide flurry of emotions swept across his face before they all winked out entirely. His cheeks beginning to color, his eyes squeezed shut and he ducked his head down, his hair curtaining across his face.
They were at Taichi’s apartment for a small get together among the Japanese Chosen and Daisuke had decided that this would be the perfect moment to confess the feelings that had been brewing in him for months now. He hadn’t been able to shut up about Ken, hadn’t been able to keep his thoughts off of the perfection that was his best friend. So he’d decided to act. What could go wrong? Surely, Ken felt the same way. Miyako told him as much, and Miyako was never wrong about stuff like this.
“How could you say that, Daisuke?!” Ken snapped, his shoulders trembling. Daisuke was frozen at the outburst, the smile slipping from his face entirely. His eyes widened, their gold shadowed with disbelief and pain, and he flinched back as if struck. Ken’s head jerked up, his panicked eyes flicking around as if just realizing the crowd that had gathered around them, all watching, all waiting. Swallowing harshly, Ken ducked his head once more, this time in a polite bow. “I-I’m sorry, I have to go.” And without another word, Ken rushed out, leaving a stricken Daisuke behind.
At first there was only silence, the gathering of chosen children sharing awkward glances and gazing sympathetically at the boy that had been left behind. Then, someone cleared their throat loudly, pointedly turning away. Conversations resumed slowly and awkwardly at that point, the room filling with murmured words once more. Daisuke remained where he was, his shoulders bunching up as his eyes remained locked on the floor. His eyes burned with embarrassed tears, regret landing like a rock in his stomach. He didn’t react when an arm landed over his shoulders, someone falling into place at his side.
“I think you scared him, dude,” Taichi’s warm voice stated good-naturedly, his arm tightening a fraction around his despondent protégé. Daisuke sucked in a slow breath, tensing a little at the comment. Taichi nudged his head a little with his, smiling gently. “But don’t sweat it. I think he’ll come around. Ken’s…just a little shy is all. Give him some time to think about this, alright? Things will turn out alright.” Daisuke lifted his head slowly, the heartbreak in his expression making Taichi’s heart ache. His throat bobbed visibly as he swallowed harshly, the emotion slowly leeching from his face.
“I…messed up, didn’t I? I should have thought about this more,” Daisuke whispered, slumping a little in Taichi’s grasp. Taichi glanced towards the exit, sighing.
“I wouldn’t say you messed up. More like…you found a way not to confess your feelings?” Taichi shook his head, frowning slightly. “But either way, Daisuke, it wasn’t the worst way to do it. I just think Ken was a little surprised. It was a little sudden.” Daisuke stiffened, his head tilting down. Auburn bangs dropped over his eyes, his lips trembling. “Daisuke?”
“Sorry. But I think I need to be alone for a little while,” Daisuke said, his voice soft and weary. He stepped away from Taichi, stepping forward and into the crowd. People parted for him with ease and he strode right through without glancing up, his hands shoved into his pockets and his shoulders hunched. Taichi watched him go, sighing quietly. He carded a hand through his hair, his lips pulled into a frown.
“Think he’ll be okay?” Yamato asked, moving to stand beside him. Taichi glanced at him and then back at where Daisuke had left, shrugging.
“Not sure. But it’s Daisuke. I’m sure he’ll pull himself together in no time. Just gotta…let him be for a bit.” Yamato laughed, clapping Taichi on the shoulder.
“You’ve grown up a bit, you know that?”
“Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?!”
“Nothing, nothing…oh fearless leader.”
The door to the apartment opened quickly and slammed shut, the walls shuddering from the force of the impact. Daisuke merely grumbled incomprehensibly under his breath, beginning to stomp angrily towards his door. His shoulders hunched, his hands were still shoved deep into his pockets, shadows crossing over his expression. His eyes were hidden by shaggy bangs, a dark scowl cutting deeply across his features. The door next to his bedroom cracked open, Jun sticking her head out curiously. Without even paying her a glance, he opened his own door and forced it shut behind him, ignoring the concerned stare he could feel aimed right at him.
His room was dark, the curtains drawn over the far window. He’d forgotten to open them this morning in his rush to leave, excited butterflies tickling his stomach. Jun had teased him as he left, calling for him to not come back until he had a boyfriend. Daisuke sucked in a shaking breath, his jaw clenching at the memory. A single tear traced down his cheek, one hand lifting to angrily scrape it away. Sighing, he walked towards his bed, letting himself fall face-first onto its plush surface. His arms encircled his head, fingers digging into the blankets draped haphazardly over the bed’s surface.
A soft knock sounded at the door, Daisuke’s shoulders tensing at the sound. “Go away, Jun,” he called, his voice rough. Silence followed his words, allowing the dark cloud that had settled over him to darken further. But then she knocked again.
“Are you alright, Daisuke?” Jun asked, her voice muffled by the door between them. “Would you like to talk about what happened?” Daisuke huffed at the question, his eyes squeezing shut. No, he didn’t want to talk. Couldn’t she just leave him alone to suffer by himself? His friends would. They understood. “Daisuke?” Growling, he pushed himself off the bed and stalked back over the door, throwing it open to glare at his older sister.
“What?!” he snarled at her, watching the hurt flicker across her expression before she frowned at him. “Can’t you tell that I want to be alone, Jun? So just leave me alone!” His eyes, red and damp, were narrowed, his golden irises etched with a deep pain. Jun frowned, her hands twitching before curling into fists. Her head turned sharply to the side, her eyes closing.
“I just wanted to check on you and see if you wanted to talk, but if you’re going to be rude then I’m just going to let you suffer! I see this is all that I get for trying to help my little brother out!” Daisuke winced at her words, his hand tightening around his door. Turning on her heel, she stomped away, Daisuke flinching at the slam of her own door. He sighed softly, closing his own door once more. Maybe…maybe he had been a little too harsh… Walking back to his bed, he shook his head, his expression softening some.
“Why…why would you say something like that?!”
Groaning softly, he planted his face into his pillows. Goddammit…He’s such a fucking idiot. Who just puts someone on the spot like that? Him, apparently. His hand dug into his pocket, pulling his D-Terminal out. Flicking it open, he glanced through the notifications as he rolled onto his back. Nothing was highlighted, no messages waiting for him to read. The device snapped shut with an audible click, his eyes shutting briefly. It creaked as his hand tightened around it, resisting the urge to just throw it across the room.
No messages… Not that he blamed Ken for not sending any… He probably ruined everything between them today…even their friendship. And he had no one to blame except for himself and his complete lack of tact.
“Daisuke?” a young voice mumbled sleepily, drawing golden eyes up to the pillow beside his head. Chibimon blinked back at him, rubbing sleep from his eyes. “You’re back early, Daisuke. Is something wrong? You were so excited leaving today. Did everything go like you wanted it to? Where’s Ken?” Daisuke’s eyes burned at the rapid-fire questions, Chibimon’s enthusiasm starting to bleed through his sleepiness. Not that he blamed the little guy. He’d get hyper too if he was stuck in a room all day.
Daisuke reached up and pulled Chibimon down off the pillow, cradling the small digimon to his chest. His head tilted down, pressing his forehead to the top of Chibimon’s head. He took a deep breath before releasing it slowly, trying to relieve that empty ache that had lodged in his chest since Ken had ran out. “Ken…Ken may not be coming by for a little bit, Chibimon. Sorry… I’ll try to fix it if I can,” he whispered.
“Oh...Is Ken alright? Should we go over there to see if he needs a friend?” Round, red eyes gazed up at him, blinking innocently up at him. Daisuke’s shoulders began to tremble a little, a hard lump forming in his throat.
“No, Chibimon. Ken…needs to be alone for a bit. Sorry, buddy. No playdates with Wormmon for a little bit.”
“Is something wrong, Daisuke?” Daisuke’s eyes flick down to Chibimon, finding an unwavering stare meeting his gaze. Huffing, Chibimon wiggled up, nudging Daisuke with his head. “Daisuke, I’m here if you need someone to talk to. I just want to help.” Daisuke looked away, his grip tightening on the small form.
“I-I know, Chibimon. But…not right now, okay? Right now, I just want to sleep. We can talk about it later. I promise.” The digimon studied him, those bright eyes narrowing a little before a sigh left him.
“Alright. We’ll talk later then! You promised!” Laughing, Chibimon snuggled down into Daisuke’s chest, practically purring in contentment. “Nap time with Daisuke!” Daisuke laughed, a smile tugging at his lips.
“Alright, alright. Nap time. Let’s both get some rest.” At his digimon’s grunt of approval, Daisuke rested his head more comfortably on the pillow, releasing a quiet sigh.
Maybe things would seem better after a quick nap…
Hikari picked at her breakfast, staring blankly down at it. Her lips pulled into a frown, she glanced up, her mouth opened as if to speak. Taichi sat across from her, loudly shoveling down his food. Her mouth closed slowly, her frown flattening in annoyance. Bits of food flew through the air, one landing on her forehead. Her eyebrow twitching, she dropped her hands to the table, scowling at her brother. “Taichi, if you actually woke up on time, you wouldn’t have to rush through breakfast in the morning,” she all but growled, her finger tapping on the table. Taichi looked up at her, his cheeks full of food. Blinking, he swallowed down what was in his mouth before smiling.
“Ah, don’t worry about it, Hikari. A little bit of rushing around is good for the soul. Keeps me on my toes,” he responded good-naturedly, waving a single finger around. Hikari just rolled her eyes again, pushing away her plate. Laughing, he rocked back in his chair, grinning widely. “Aw, come on. Don’t be like that.” She stood, the chair scraping on the kitchen floor.
“Yea, yea. I’m gonna go finish getting ready for school. You know, so I won’t be late.” Running a quick hand through her hair, she shook her head before walking towards her room to pack her bag. The sun was beginning to filter in through the windows of the apartment, a single beam shining into the living room. Hikari paused, her gaze softening as she stared at the single spot. Her D-Terminal burned in her pocket, still as silent as it had been last night.
“Hey…Hikari. Has he responded yet?” Her hand moved to rest over her pocket, fingers fisting in the cloth. She took a slow breath, her eyes closing. Her hand slowly relaxed, dropping once more to her side. Shaking her head, she stared at the sunlit spot once more.
“No… I messaged him last night, but he hasn’t responded. He hasn’t contacted anyone, Taichi. I know he’s upset…but this has me worried… He’s never…not talked to us.” Taichi’s lips twisted in thought, brown eyes staring down at his decimated breakfast. Drumming his fingers on the table, he considered his options. Finally, he sighed, pushing his chair away from the table and standing.
“Alright… I’ll talk to him after practice today. See if I can get him to open up a little bit.” Hikari turned, her eyes wide and hopeful. Taichi smiled at her, ruffling her hair as he walked by. “Don’t worry, little sis. I’ll take care of it.”
“Just…don’t overdo it, Taichi. He’s a little more sensitive than he likes to admit.” He laughed, his hand dropping away from her head.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ve got it covered. Things will be back to normal soon.”
Daisuke shoved his shoes into his gym bag, which laid open on the bench beside his locker. Still glad in a loose pair of exercise shorts, he was working on removing his sweat-laden shirt, the fabric clinging to his damp skin and proving to make the task as difficult as possible. Finally, the shirt slipped over his head, it too being thrown into his bag. His teammates kept shooting him looks, ranging from varied levels of concern to outright annoyance. They knew something was up, he knew they did, but nobody confronted him at least. He swung open his locker, sticking a hand in to shuffle through the mess to find his street clothes.
A shadow fell over him, the lockers clanging as someone leaned up against them. His lips pressed together, Daisuke ignored the newcomer, instead continuing to rummage through his things. Something flashed in the corner of his eyes, the familiar shade of blue bringing a groan to his lips. Turning slowly, he scowled at Taichi, his arms crossing over his bare chest. Taichi merely grinned at him, Daisuke’s shirt clutched in one of his hands. “You have Hikari worried,” Taichi informed him cheerfully, holding the shirt out for him on one finger. Daisuke grunted and yanked it from him, turning back to his locker.
“Well she could have come to talk to me herself,” Daisuke responded, tugging a towel from the bottom of the cubicle. Taichi sighed, watching as Daisuke slipped off his goggles to begin towel drying his hair.
“She would have, but it seems you’ve been avoiding her like the plague. Hell, you’ve been avoiding everyone like the plague.”
“Well, if they just left me alone, I wouldn’t be ignoring them.” Taichi tore his eyes away from Daisuke, instead looking up at the ceiling. His lips twisting into a frown, he allowed silence to fall between them for a moment. Finally, he glanced down at him again, brown eyes dark with understanding.
“You gotta talk about it eventually, Daisuke.” Throwing his towel back into the locker, Daisuke slammed it shut, his jaw clenched. His eyes slipped over to Taichi, narrowed to slits. His muscles were tense, their slight tremble masked by anger.
“And what if I don’t want to talk about it?” The words were snarled out, golden eyes burning in a molten glare. They stared at each other for several long, tense moments before Daisuke huffed and turned away, his eyes closing. “Look…Thanks for the worry, but I don’t need it. I’m fine. I’ll talk to everyone later.” Taichi hummed, shaking his head.
“See, that would have fooled someone else, Daisuke, but not me. There is a reason you’re called my little clone sometimes.” Releasing a long sigh, Taichi smiled. “But…I’ll let it go for now. Wouldn’t want you to get suspended from the team for jumping the old captain.” The tension drained slowly from Daisuke, his expression softening as his anger cooled. Taichi lifted a finger though, still smiling. “But! I do have another reason for being here.” Daisuke turned to lean up against the locker himself, the metal cool against his still damp flesh.
“Oh?” he questioned, raising a curious eyebrow. “And that would be?”
“Koushiro messaged me last night. There’s apparently been some strange signals coming from the digital world.”
“Ah. So when are you guys heading out?” Taichi chuckled, reaching up to ruffle Daisuke’s hair. The pout on Daisuke’s face only made him laugh harder.
“We’re not heading out. I think you and your team should take this one. Koushiro wasn’t too worried about the signals, but they are worth looking into. Plus, we’ve had you guys benched for too long. Use this as a time to stretch your legs. And who knows, maybe you’ll get a chance to beat up some stuff.” Crouching by the bench, Daisuke dug through his bag, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration. He produced his D-Terminal, flicking it open and clicking around for a second.
“Got it. We won’t let you down, Taichi.” Taichi snorted, but his expression softened some.
“You guys never do. Just be safe, okay?”
The digital world was pathed in the pale orange of a sun just beginning to set, lengthening shadows stretching towards the group of children just beginning to sort themselves out. The buzz of insects saturated the air, soothing in its nature. A gentle wind blew through the rustling leaves of the forest before them, cool air tousling their hair. Daisuke sighed, staring into the depths of the trees, before turning towards his group, a small smile forced onto his face. Nobody bought it, but it made him feel better at least. His eyes flicked to each of his group, mentally assessing them before moving on. His eyes hesitated on Ken, surprise flickering briefly across his face.
Then, Ken looked away.
“Alright everyone,” he began, sighing heavily. “Koushiro set us down in the spot closest to whatever signal he’s talking about. It’s our job to check it out and tell him what’s up.” At the nods he received, he nodded in return, smirking confidently. “This’ll be easy. We should all be back well before dinner time. So let’s move!” He punched the air, turning and beginning to run into the forest. The others followed in suit, albeit a little hesitantly.
Daisuke’s smile faded the moment he turned around, the enthusiasm fading from his eyes. His thoughts were focused on that image of Ken from a few minutes ago, remembering the way the soft light danced from his hair, the way his skin practically glowed. He also remembered the bags beneath his eyes and the deadened look to his normally sparkling blue eyes, Daisuke’s heart sinking at the memory. His hands curled into tight fists, his lips pressing together.
Dammit…
This was going to be one long mission for him at least.

Digimon Adventure Tri: 02
Takaishi Takeru mentioned in a letter to Mochizuki that Daisuke and the others were healing. What Takeru neglected to mention to the bereaved Chosen Child were the circumstances on “why” they were healing in the first place.
01
FFN I AO3
---------
The day of the meeting, Taichi woke up early, surprising his parents and younger sibling. He felt a need to talk with the Motomiya and see if there's anything wrong.
At the very least, he should ascertain the reason why he won't be able to attend the meeting later in the day.
"I'm off!" Taichi called out. "I'll see you at Koushiro's office Hikari!"
"Take care!" Hikari and his parents responded.
----------
Considering the proximity of the Motomiyas' apartment complex with the Yagamis, Taichi decided to run towards the Motomiyas instead of taking his bike.
There were a lot things Taichi wanted to speak with Daisuke today, including the reason for skipping the meeting happening later. It was just so not Daisuke for him to skip any meeting at all. If anything, he's one of the chosen who'd agree for the meeting in the first place. Not unless he had an explanation.
All of which were last night's conclusion.
The thing was, Ken was attending the meeting.
Taichi shook his head as he approached the apartment complex the Motomiyas lived in.
----------
"Taichi-senpai?" Daisuke yawned as he got out of his bed room. "What are you doing here?!" He asked, confused at his senior's visit.
"Oi Daisuke! Make yourself presentable for the visitor." Daisuke's mother rebuked.
The older woman shooed Daisuke back to his room.
"Wha-bu-!"
"Not buts!" The woman sternly replied.
"Fine." Daisuke grumbled but followed his mother's instruction nonetheless.
"Forgive my son's unruly appearance Yagami-san." The elder Motomiya apologized in Daisuke's place. "Really, that boy even having Ichijouji-kun as a friend, he's still a slob."
"It's not a problem." Taichi smiled at the teen's mother. "I was just here to ask Daisuke about things."
"Take your time then Yagami-san." Daisuke's mother returned the gesture. "Make yourself at home."
"Thank you for having me Motomiya-san." Taichi bowed in respect.
A moment later, Daisuke got out of his room and greeted his senior.
"Good Morning Taichi-senpai. Let's talk in my room, we'll have some privacy in there."
Daisuke gestured for his senior to follow him to his room.
As Daisuke lead the senior bearer of courage towards his bedroom, there were a lot of questions inside of his head, including what the reason for this visit was.
Taichi-senpai couldn't be here to force him to attend the meeting, right?
All of these thoughts were forced to the back of his mind as he opened his bedroom and let the older teen in.
He figured he could ask Taichi-senpai what his reason for his visit was.
"You can sit anywhere you like senpai." Daisuke offered as he closed the door then sat on a chair near a counter.
The two of them sat in silence for a few moments.
The silence between the two teens were unnerving. Daisuke wanted to learn of Taichi's reason for the visit and this silence wasn't helping.
He figured he'd make the first move.
"So?"
"Why are you skipping the meeting?" Taichi bluntly asked.
"Can't I just skip the meeting without any reason?" Daisuke asked, hoping to derail the topic.
"You can." Taichi nodded. "But usually, you're the one who is enthusiastic about these meetings. I rushed here to see if something was wrong."
"I'm sorry if I made you worry senpai." Daisuke bowed in apology. "I feel fine, I just don't feel like attending the meeting."
Daisuke may have said it but Taichi didn't buy it.
Daisuke didn't have his usual enthusiasm whenever he have some things to say. He'd usually be scratching the back of his head sheepishly or be his overdramatic self whenever he voices out his thoughts.
"Are you really okay." Taichi's eyes narrowed in worry. "You know we're here for you."
"I'm fine senpai, really." Daisuke insisted. "It's just that…"
"That?"
Daisuke kept everything hanging as he retrieved a pair of goggles with its glass shattered. The remaining glass on the goggles had some red and black marks while its head strap had some noticeable tears on.
"I'm returning this senpai." Daisuke stood up and handed the goggles back to its owner. "I don't think I deserve them anymore."
"Wha- Daisuke." Taichi sputtered. "Where is this coming from?"
"We… I…"
Daisuke can't really explain to his senior why he was returning the goggles that was entrusted to him.
No.
It's far more accurate that he just can't elaborate on why he'd return them in the first place. If Taichi had known of the decisions he made for the four of them, he just knew that Taichi won't approve of them.
He knew that he should tell them of what really happened.
He just doesn't have the heart to face his senior's disapproval of him. To shun him.
After VMon…
He just can't.
"I walked us straight into a trap senpai." Daisuke murmured.
"No." Taichi stated sternly.
"No?"
"I'm not accepting this Daisuke." Taichi stood up. "I gave this to you to show how much I trust you." He explained.
"B-but."
"No buts." Taichi stated firmly. "Look I'll hold unto this for you. It's clear that you're making an emotional decision." He offered. "You don't have to attend today's meeting, Miyako and the others should be enough for us to grasp the current situation."
"I-"
Daisuke shook his head before responding.
"Thank you senpai."
"Rest up Daisuke, The next time we meet we're going to play some soccer." Taichi grinned as he ruffled the younger teen's hair. "Let's see if you haven't gotten rusty."
"In your dreams senpai!" Daisuke stuck out his tongue. "I'll beat both you and Ken, just you wait."
Taichi felt like sighing in relief at the complete 180 Daisuke's attitude had done. The young boy may have been keeping things bottled up, even now, but his ability to bounce right back up was nothing but great.
"All I'm hearing are words Daisuke."
"Just you wait senpai." Daisuke huffed. "Just you wait."
-----------
Taichi found himself back in that cranny where he and Nishijima-sensei fell.
Nishijima-sensei's bloodied form.
The fake Gennai's haughty laugh.
The clock ticking down to zero.
Nishijima-sensei's fist before it fell.
"Taichi, are you okay?"
----------
Taichi suddenly found himself staring at an elevator, sweating.
He looked to his side and saw that Yamato was staring at him in worry.
Taichi gulped audibly. "I'm fine."
"Let's go upstairs, everyone's waiting."
"You go on ahead and use the elevator." Taichi grinned. "I think I'll take the stairs."
Taichi didn't wait for any response as he went further inside the building and ran up the stairs. As he climbed up the stairs, he shook his head to banish everything about what happened in that cranny.
The younger kids had it much worse than him, he doesn't have time to second guess everything or else another situation like Nishijima-sensei would happen again.
-----------
As soon as Taichi got inside, everyone looked at him strangely.
Yamato probably told everyone of their exchange downstairs.
"Are you okay nii-chan?" Hikari asked.
"I'm fine Hikari." Taichi assured his younger sister. "I just wanted to have some exercise, I did leave the house early." He tried to explain.
Everyone else in the room looked at each other, having a hard time believing the story. They were unable to prod the bearer of courage as he voiced out his thoughts.
"Where's everyone else?" Taichi asked.
"Actually, I scheduled the meeting earlier for the rest of us." Koushiro informed the group. "Jyou-senpai's arriving alongside Iori-kun and the others."
As if on cue, the flat screen TV by the wall lit up and showed Mimi's face on it.
"Hello everyone!" Mimi greeted. "Koushiro-kun, why'd you set the meeting this early?" She pouted at her friend.
"I apologize Mimi-san, but this was the only time that Jyou-senpai is free." Koushiro apologized.
"So?" Yamato voiced out. "What's this meeting about?"
"Have any of you seen Daisuke-kun's and everyone else's Digimon on the news?" Koushiro asked.
"I haven't." Mimi answered. "Wouldn't they be on the news if their Digimon were found beside them inside those pods?"
"Exactly." Koushiro nodded. "I find it odd that there were no news reports about that."
"Could it be?" Takeru gasped.
"No." Yamato's eyes widened in realization. "That can't be true."
"Oh no!" Hikari gasped. "Rosemon and Vikemon battled an Imperialdramon!"
"D-did we…" Mimi trailed off.
"No! It can't be!" Takeru whispered as his eyes widened in regret.
Everyone had been devastated when the reboot happened and that had been something they hadn't been able to prevent. Everyone had lost their Digimon partner.
It was especially painful for Takeru. He lost Patamon on his first journey in the Digital World.
"Don't be quick to jump to conclusions." Koushiro voiced out.
The bearer of knowledge started typing furiously on his computer. A few moments later, two images of Imperialdramon appeared beside Mimi's face on the TV. The first image was the Imperialdramon beside Daisuke and Ken.
The second image was the Imperialdramon Vikemon and Rosemon fought.
"Look closely, the color schemes of both Imperialdramons are different." Koushiro pointed out. "Daisuke-kun and Ichijouji-kun's Imperialdramon have Red, Black, Gold and White color scheme."
"The Imperialdramon Vikemon and Rosemon fought had various shades of purple and gold as its color scheme." Sora observed.
"What a relief." Mimi sighed.
"Of course there is still a possibility that the Imperialdramon we fought was indeed Ichijouji-kun and Daisuke-kun's Imperialdramon." Koushiro shook his head.
"Koushirou's right." Taichi nodded. "I was with Daisuke earlier today and I didn't see Vmon or Chibimon inside his house or his room."
"That can't be." Mimi gasped as tears formed on her eyes. "Tell me that isn't true!"
"Unfortunately." Taichi shook his head.
"The color scheme is what's bugging me." Koushiro hummed in concentration.
"When Agumon was under the Digimon Emperor's Dark Spiral, MetalGreymon's color was dark blue instead of his usual orange." Yamato supplied.
"That can't be right." Takeru voiced out. "I remember Daisuke stating that it was a huge relief to know that Sora-san and the others could get their Digimon to Ultimate."
"That's right!" Hikari nodded. "I think they'd at least tell us if they lost their partners."
"What if they were unaware?"
Everyone fell silent at Yamato's words. They just couldn't fathom that they could have possibly destroyed a Digimon partner, let alone the Digimon partners of the people who were supposed to be their friends.
"W-were really bad friends, aren't we?" Mimi somberly stated. "First we fail to aid them in their time of need and we destroyed their Digimon partners."
"We even suspected Ichijouji-kun when that Dark-robed Gennai appeared using the Digimon Emperor Persona." Koushiro pointed out.
"W-we didn't see a Dark Spiral on the Imperialdramon when Rosemon and Vikemon fought it." Sora interjected. "We'd only be stressing ourselves out if we keep on thinking that way."
Before anyone else could add to their discussion, the doorbell to the office rung.
"I'll get it." Sora volunteered.
Sora went towards the door and pressed in the intercom inside the room.
"Who is it?"
"Sora, its Jyou." Jyou's voice was heard through the intercom. "I've got Ichijouji-kun, Inoue-kun and Iori-kun with me."
Sora pressed a button and the sliding door opened, letting the new arrivals in.
"Whoa!" Miyako exclaimed in pure amazement. "This is a very cool office Izumi-senpai."
"Thank you Miyako-kun." Koushirou expressed his gratitude at the praise.
Ken, Miyako and Iori looked around to acclimate themselves from the new setting when Miyako noticed Mimi on the TV.
"Mimi-san! Good afternoon!" Miyako greeted the Sincerity Senior. "Or is it Good Morning?"
"Good Afternoon's fine Miyako-chan." Mimi chuckled.
"In any case, thank you for joining us Ichijouji-kun, Miyako-kun, Iori-kun." Koushiro smiled. "Are you able to answer some questions?" He asked the trio.
Ken, Miyako and Iori looked at each other. They knew they had to tell everything that happened to everyone in the room.
"Let's start with your Digimon." Mimi immediately stated.
"We had them escape." Ken answered.
"Escaped?" Mimi dreaded.
"Let's probably start from the beginning." Iori suggested. "Give them some context of what happened."
"If you're comfortable." Taichi offered.

Dreaming To Reality: Oneiromancy Chapter Twenty Seven - 23
Tentatively, Ryo lowered Ken to the bed as his gut twisted with worry. He saw a similar expression on Daisuke’s face, and the gold color of the other boy’s eyes as well as Chibimon’s only added to the nausea that churned inside him.
“Did you notice?” Tailmon asked, her voice quiet. It prompted Hikari to finally look away from Ken to stare at her. “He mentioned Keiko and Nyamon.”
Hikari blinked at that before her eyes widened. “He did! And Kyoumon too!”
“That’s right!” Daisuke blurted out as he straightened up. “He didn’t recognize her at all before but he literally just said her name!”
Tailmon reached up to tap her claw against her chin. “He mentioned a few other names that bother me, too,”
“Oh, that, uh…,” Monodramon began, his voice drawing everyone to him as they suddenly remembered he was even there. He faltered before he lowered his voice, his body drooping. “T-they all… they were all Digimon we, uh… l-lost.”
“Lost?” Daisuke repeated, with a blink.
“During… that battle,” Monomdramon said softly. “They fought b-bravely against, er… him, but…” He trailed off, unable to finish. He cast Ryo an anxious glance.
Tailmon’s eyes widened before she spat out a curse, her tail giving a sharp snap.
Ryo said nothing, clenching his jaw. Whether it was to keep himself from saying something or to prevent himself from throwing up, he didn’t know.
Tailmon exhaled deeply, her shoulders hanging heavy with the weight that they all were forced to carry now. She only let herself bend for a moment before straightening up with a defiant snort as she shifted her focus back to Ken. “Anyway. He started out with some weird talk about Neemon and Pillar Points, but then started talking about Keiko. It could just be the medicine, it could also mean…”
“He’s starting to remember,” Hikari finished, her eyes lighting up.
“Jin said he had a ‘breakdown,’” Tailmon said. “It sounds like that ‘breakdown’ was his real memories starting to return and clashing with his false ones. That would explain why the doctors had to drug him - it probably wasn’t pretty when it was happening. We’ll have to see what he’s like once the drugs have worn off, which will hopefully be after everything has been settled. Properly.”

Dreaming To Reality: Oneiromancy Chapter Twenty Seven - 22
For a long time they just held each other as though one or both of them might disappear. Eventually, Ken crumpled against Ryo, and rested his head on his friend’s shoulder as Ryo leaned on his. “Okay,” he mumbled.
Daisuke shook his head to clear it, suddenly a little unsteady on his feet as though he just woke up from a dream. Chibimon had a similar reaction, looking around in confusion. Daisuke blinked his gold eyes a few times before turning back to Ken and coming back to the present. He moved as close as he could without breaking up the hug between the two childhood friends.
“Ken…,” Daisuke began, only to falter. He swallowed hard to clear the lump from his throat. “We… we don’t want you to die. I… I’m sorry for what I did… back then… but you’re… you’re important to me… to all of us. We don’t want you to die.”
Ken blinked at that and lifted his head enough to look past Ryo’s shoulder at Daisuke. He was silent for a moment before his expression softened. “I know… which is why it scared me… that I still felt that way. I thought I had gotten better. But then I found myself thinking I deserved it and-”
“You don’t!” Daisuke shouted, as though he could destroy that horrifying thought with his voice alone. “You absolutely don’t! Shit keeps happening to you and yeah, you made mistakes, but that doesn’t mean… I mean, I made mistakes too, y’know!?”
“Daisuke’s right, Ken,” Hikari said, as he glanced at Daisuke, before returning her attention to Ken. “You’ve been through so much… carrying a heavy burden that no one should have asked of you. But we’re here now, and we’ll help. We’re all going to help each other, because they’re our burdens now. None of us are alone anymore.” She looked over to Ryo, giving him a pointed look full of meaning, but he couldn’t lift his head to look her way even as he refused to ease his grip on Ken.
Ken frowned at that, resting the side of his head against Ryo’s shoulder. There was the faint inkling of something nagging at him from within the depths of his mind, something he just couldn’t name or even guess the vague shape of. It was the same as everything else - a fog that refused to clear, and a distant ringing of a bell. In the end, all he could do was let out a frustrated sigh. “My head hurts.”
Ryo gave Ken a tight squeeze before letting out a shuddering sigh. “It’s okay, Ken… Just rest, okay? We can talk about this more when you’re feeling better, okay?”
“‘Kaaaaay,” Ken mumbled as the weight of such heavy emotions drained the energy from him, leaving him limp and weary. He closed his eyes, his entire body sagging against his friend as he let the medicine help ease him away from all the sharp edges in his mind that bled him for so long.

I JUST..... I JUST REALLY MISS MY OLD DIGIMON OC......
I don’t even know if anyone here would recognize her at all (other than maybe a certain Kari!) bUT..... well, this was actually my old Digimon OC, Hikaru! Many years back, I had one of those Digimon “FDD” (Fictional Digidestined & Digimon!) websites, and it was young me’s pride and joy, my first website that I made all on my own ;3;/ ;3;/ Complete with low quality graphics, comic sans ms, script based roleplays, and Digimon and anime midis galore! (A-ahaha.)
Although, back then I had pretty much zero ability when it came to actual art (I was always more of a writer, orz) and so her look ended up being basically “inspired” (read as: ripoff) of adult!Hikari but with a teenager look, and the story took a huuuge amount of “inspiration” (read as: tropes) from Sailor Moon too (also The Legend of Zelda), a-ahaha. OTL. Her Digimon (twin Digimon ala Wallace’s) were also obviously Chibimon/DemiVeemon recolors (DemiSilveemon and DemiGoldveemon, respectively. I didn’t even have to create an evolution for DemiGoldveemon because he’d basically become Goldveedramon, an actual Digimon!, while “Silveemon” became “Silveedramon”, a-ahaha. So original, I know.)
Regardless, they still have a very special place in my heart and I wish I had the energy to do a complete overhaul of her story nowadays (and actually finish it - I only ever managed to write through the second story arc out of like... eight-nine which was also to have a huge sprawling amount of story arcs after, which I had detailed in extremely lengthy “spoiler” summaries back then pffft - also, it was all to eventually tie into a story arc covering the epilogue and extending the story of that.) Unfortunately, my drive to do so has kind of dried up o-orz...
B-But now that I’m much older, I’m kinda sorta thinking about redesigning her at the least?? I’m super into Japanese fashion now (!!) and would really love to give her a redesign with like.... a very pretty classic styled one-piece, long A-line dress with a petticoat, maybe in a dusty pink color, with cute ruffles and embroidery, white sleeve cuffs?? and probably either neckties and/or (detachable, for look variety!) long sleeves. MAYBE SHE’D EVEN HAVE HER OWN HUGE WARDROBE OF VARIOUS ADORABLE DRESSES ALA CARDCAPTOR SAKURA/CLAMP it’s a nice thought anyway to at least redesign her main outfit in mind, even if I can’t create art for it, aha...!! ;3;/ (ALSO would change her hair color so it’d be less like Hikari’s [which was intended at the time for story purposes/tropes/etc.], though it was still a slightly darker brown - it’d probably be a bit more wavier/curlier too, and something like an even darker brown [deep brown?? nOT JUST BC OF MY OWN HAIR A-AHA....] (possibly also with bits of red through it!!)... at the time she was also created with no set eye color aside from (a darker) blue in mind; maaaybe she could have something like hazel eyes now? which could probably make up for that with the “color changing” hA ALSO SHE WAS MIXED/MULTIRACIAL/MULTIETHNIC ASIAN/JAPANESE-AMERICAN [+OTHERS] SO THERE WAS THAT YEAH!!)
Her Crest was actually the Crest of Faith, since I figured Jou’s Japanese crest’s name could also translate to “Honesty” (maybe even remain “Reliability” still, idek, which I thought was still perfect for Jou) and ‘Faith’ as a trait just held a very personal meaning to young me at the time ;3;/ (Basically never giving up, believing in yourself, etc.!! SHOUNEN/SHOUJO MOTIVATION) Though the image here didn’t quite portray the crest as I would have liked, I did want the imagery to involve a stylized crescent moon symbol and a star (probably now with it hanging outside of the moon somewhere though, not inside....), and the color to be dark pink (which would have also been the color of her D3) [it also had gold and silver buttons because of the two Digimon]. It’d be nice to try and re-design that too somehow ;3;/
All of the art here (sans #4, edited by young me a-aha) was made by request, and I’m to this day, forever grateful to the artists: Skye G. (#1 and the adorable emote!), Kari Avalon (#2), Tiara/Chiara (#3), Alana D. (#5-6), and Jennifer M. (#7)!! If any of you somehow happen to read this, thank you so much again (and for putting up with young me, o-orz)!! (I hope you’re all doing well today too....!!) ;A;/
Anyhow, a lot more rambling under the cut!
So yes, her story did lift a HUGE amount of “inspiration”/tropes from Sailor Moon, complete with the typical “Digimon Princess” theme and everything o-OTL. HOWEVER the more lengthier, sprawling story also had story arcs and tropes I still would have loved to explore in more detail - the 02 kids each had their own story arc where they’d receive their own personalized Crest traits (Iori’s was Wisdom, I can’t quite remember Miyako’s atm orz but she had one too [EDIT: MIYAKO was Loyalty, Iori’s was Wisdom!! Loyalty would fit Iori too maybe though aha?]; and of course, Daisuke got Miracles!) and their Digimon would all get to evolve into their own evolutionary lines.
The Adventure Chosen would eventually have their own arcs too; involving “Negative Crests”, evil clones, and actually the main villain of the entire fic was Alphamon - who wasn’t even featured in the main canon materials much at the time! (SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW MUCH I FLIPPED OUT WHEN HE WAS REVEALED AS THE MAIN VILLAIN FOR TRI, A-AHAHAH) Aaaanyway that arc would have dealt with each kid encountering their evil clone, being attacked by them/fighting them against the real kids’ wills, learning about them and their backstories, and the real kids’ Digimon would all finally evolve to Mega/Ultimate forms; the clones would have then been defeated after their corrupted virus type Digimon were destroyed, and after the clone children and their crests no longer being corrupted; them all dying peacefully to rejoin their Digimon in the Digital World afterlife. ;A; (.....I STILL GET LOTS OF FEELINGS THINKING ABOUT THE STORIES I HAD PLANNED FOR THEM ALL, SOMETIMES, I ADMIT, ESPECIALLY MY FAV KOUSHIRO’S BECAUSE LIKE. /NO MY HEART/ ALSO, THE DIGIMON WERE ALL TO BE ESPECIALLY AMAZING, ESPECIALLY TENTOMON + HIS CLONE BECAUSE LIKE. YES. NO??? HUMONGOUS CORRUPTED VIRUS TYPE ARMORED GIANT BUG PROTECTING CORRUPTED TINY CHILD AND ALL. Also, if you saw my previous post on Koushiro AUs (AKA: MOSTLY SUFFERING), the AU idea there about “Koushiro fully losing his curiosity” would have been detailed in that storyline, too [just in the place of the clone Koushiro, with the real Koushiro trying to help/save him.... but alas.......] ;3;/) (also the clone Koushiro may have not understood his own feelings and that he was hopelessly in love with the clone Taichi who didn’t know this at all until he found out at the very end; and who also died; yeah there was lots of drama/angst to be had)
As for the “Negative Crests”, basically, each Chosen would have had to fight against the darkness attempting to corrupt them and the Crests they had “lost” (which they’d then “regain”), with each cloned Chosen having the Negative Crests, like so: Taichi -> Fear Yamato -> Loneliness Sora -> Hate Koushiro -> Ignorance Mimi -> Lies (Impurity??) Jou -> Betrayal Takeru -> Despair Hikari -> Darkness [/that feeling when I actually finished Hikari’s arc along w/a Ken + Daisuke miniarc cries] (THE CLONE/DARK!JOU WAS ALSO V. EPIC AND BASICALLY BETRAYED ALPHAMON BY FINDING OUT ALPHAMON’S PLANS AND DESTROYING HIMSELF BEFORE ALPHAMON COULD FULLY CORRUPT HIM AND WIN, DARK!JOU AND ALSO JOU HIMSELF WERE SO EPIC, YOU GO JOUs !!!)
Also, being a kid at the time, of course I paired my OC with my other favorite character, of course (.....DAISUKE AHAHAHA) though young me was also very into slashfic and also not-so-subtlely hinted at underlying Tai//shiro storylines as well as not-to-be (orz) Ken//suke (mainly from Ken’s side; it’d then lead to the Ken//yako kids). All of it would have tied into the post-02 epilogue that basically explained “how the heck did all this happen and what do they and the epilogue kids do next??” AAAAND YEAH. (EVEN YOUNG ME LOVED TAI//SHIRO AND KEN//SUKE / DAI//KEN TO DEATH, OK, OK, YOUNG ME KNEW WHAT WAS UP)
Soooo I’m sure you can imagine how I feel now watching AND (MOSTLY) ENJOYING Tri and seeing other new interesting character(s) (Meiko!!) instead, ahahaha. ...Though now I’m also missing my old OC(s) and reflecting on all these old storylines I had (AMONG OTHERS), WHY THIS...... ;A;/ Ah well, it’s still nice to reminisce....!
(BY THE WAY, YOUNG ME ALSO NEVER SAID SO AT THE TIME, BUT THIS OC [AND COINCIDENTALLY ALSO DAISUKE] WAS DEFINITELY HEADCANONED TO BE SOMETHING LIKE BI/PAN/DEMI??...!! Hikaru as a character would have felt to her personally, purely looks or physical attraction was secondary - she would have probably believed in soulmates; developing a very strong emotional bond only with a person who loved and accepted her for who she was, and who she was the same for them. For my character, at the time, that was Daisuke...! H-Hahaha, though - she was also to have a backstory involving another (boy) OC she loved dearly, one who had disappeared (or: died/taken by the digital world) and she had to move on from (nOT.... HELPED BY ONE OF HER OWN DIGIMON DYING PERMANENTLY [the gold one], I’M STILL SUPER SAD I HAD TO KILL HIM OFF BUT IT WAS NECESSARY FOR THE STORY it was also a huge part of her character development and flaws including how she reacted to death/grief and would basically withdraw heavily into herself ALA KOUSHIRO AT HIS WORST.....); she would have then learnt to move on and found her personal true happiness & also her true love. So, at the time, that was Daisuke (despite the major Ken//suke undertones because it was [very] sadly not to be in that fic, o-orz - also Daisuke was a huge underdog/underappreciated within the fandom at the time (and also within OC fic which was near exclusively dub based), who was constantly bashing him for the dumbest of reasons jUST. WHY WAS FANDOM LIKE THAT-)
-- but back to Hikaru now, NOW....?? idek, maybe she’d find someone different and Daisuke would end up together with Ken?! WHOOOO KNOOOOOWS (MAYBE EVEN POLYSHIPS, THAT’D DEFINITELY WORK TOO, YES)
(ADDING A BIT MORE ABOUT HER PERSONALITY!!:) -quite mature as well as modest -secretly a huge computer geek that would also be very experienced at coding. This, of course, made Koushiro something like a senpai to her, and they’d often excitedly discuss computers/coding (along with Ken chiming in at times) while the rest of the Chosen would blank stare (hhhhhA) -despite this however she’d definitely not be on Koushiro nor Ken’s levels but she’d be on course to fast improvement with their guidance!! (also keep in mind this fic was originally written when I was a very young kid when girls who coded were acknowledged even less o-orz) -(ALSO SECRETLY A VERY ENTHUSIASTIC GAMER) (eventually, she’d come to hang out with Daisuke [+Taichi, Koushiro and Ken when they visited] to play games!) (the outcomes would often be: defeat Daisuke [repeatedly], defeat or draw with Taichi [to his dismay as well], be beaten by Koushiro and Ken [to which she’d vow to challenge herself to become better!]) -typically very optimistic/positive, kind/friendly, warm, welcoming, helpful, respectful etc., unlikely to have a mean bone in her body and basically extremely loving and supportive towards everyone -this would often put her at odds, however, with more competitive people or ruder people who weren’t as warm or welcoming; though she’d accept that being the case, she’d often be troubled that she did “something wrong” -speaking of being respectful, though she also wasn’t near Koushiro (or Iori) levels of “-san” respectfulness, she did use proper honorifics for everyone and often hesitated to change honorifics, even when prompted. (The older Chosen were a mix of “-san” [Yamato, Sora, Mimi until Mimi demands the use of “-chan” as per typical] and “-senpai” [Koushiro, Jou, and even Taichi, to his bemusement] mainly due to her having been intimidated to be new at the start, which is.... qUITE A LOT LIKE MEIKO’S NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT...) -despite her typical personality though she would stand up for herself and her friends as needed, especially in the face of evil/darkness -though very friendly, much more of an introvert than an actual extrovert; she’d rather stay inside unless invited out by the others (who would often have to insist she join them) -had some initial regrets about moving from America, even though things were harder for her there (where it was even harder for her to fit in) and it was necessary for her parents’ jobs, it was still her original home, so she holds her childhood close. -becomes chosen to be a Chosen Child due to her initial involvement with Digimon involving the OC who was “taken” by the Digital World (though she wouldn’t learn this was the reason or understand how/why it happened until later) -her story arc would essentially revolve around her learning to pick herself back up after grief and helping to save everything
(ALSO A BIT MORE ABOUT THE DIGIMON): -DemiSilveemon/Silveemon was more like Hikaru herself; though with a more eternally optimistic/supportive personality; though also somewhat more naive and silly, also with a short temper when something (DemiGoldveemon) irritated her. But when things would get tough, she’d always know the right thing to do \o/ -DemiGoldveemon/Goldveemon was much more extroverted / hyper / exciteable and super energetic/even more supportive!! ...though he was also the troublemaker, often getting into mischief and causing headaches for Hikaru and DemiSilveemon. However, when he’d have to put playing aside and defend his friends, he’d become extremely cool and awesome...!! ;A;/ (Later on, he’d also reappear briefly in spirit form to remind Hikaru and Silveemon to not give up \o/)
ALSO:
(TAI//SHIRO WOULD ALSO DEF. HAPPEN SECOND TIME AROUND NOT SORRY) (SHE’D BE ONE OF THEIR #1 SUPPORTERS TOO ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER CHOSEN AND THE PARENTS OK? OK!!!) \o/
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT MY VERY SHAMEFUL DIGIMON FANDOM HISTORY AND OC HISTORY, NOW I WILL EXCUSE MYSELF TO HIDE UNDER A ROCK !!!!!
#digimon oc#digimon fdd#(WHY DID I POST THIS)#(PLEASE EXCUSE MY RAMBLING CARRY ON NOW)#(I JUST.....!!! Dreaming To Reality: 02 Remix Chapter Forty - 09
Tailmon stretched before she placed her paws on her hips, glancing at Hikari, smiling to herself for achieving an ‘A’ rank. “Once you know what to expect, it’s actually pretty fun.”
“Yeah, exactly!” Daisuke said excitedly before he turned to Ken. “C’mon, Ken! Let’s show them one of the hard dances!”
Ken smiled. “Of course. I’ll let you pick-”
“Yo! Ken!” an adult voice called out, interrupting the boy genius. It caused Ken to jump before he turned to see two adult men standing by the door leading in to the back - presumably the kitchen. The owner of the voice, a tall man with chocolate brown hair, gray eyes, and a bright smile, waved towards Ken while holding a large box under his arm.
Beside the first man, in stark contrast to his casual blue jeans and white button-up shirt, was a man in a black suit with a gold dragon pin on his lapel. He looked very professional, with his deep black hair slicked back and tied up in a neat ponytail with a red ribbon. He wore thick black shades that obstructed his face, though he did take a moment to slide them down his nose so that his piercing red eyes could glance about the room and look at the Chosen - and their Digimon.
“[I brought them!]” the brunette man said, in English, before he reached over to point at the box under his arm. “[Did you want to look them over first?]”
Ken immediately perked up, his eyes brightening. “[I’ll be right there!]” he replied, before turning to the confused Daisuke. “Why don’t you do the next song with Takeru?” When the Chosen of Tenacity looked about to protest, Ken waved his hands reassuringly. “I’ll do the next one, I promise. I just have to take care of something first, and I’ll be right back.” Without waiting for a response, the corrupt Chosen hurried over to meet the two men, leaving the bewildered Chosen behind.
“...What’s that about?” Takeru asked as he watched Ken, quirking an eyebrow.
“Oh, it’s fine, don’t worry!” Wormmon said, cheerfully. “They’re old friends of Ken-chan’s. Mr. Tengoku is the reason Ken-chan was able to rent out the pizzeria in the first place! He actually owns the place!”
“Wow, really?” Patamon asked, with a blink.
“I think Ken said the same thing earlier, when we first arrived,” Tailmon said thoughtfully.
Daisuke couldn’t help but feel a little starstruck and beamed. “Ken is so cool.”
“So cool, so cool!” Chibimon agreed, bouncing up and down as he waved his paws.
